The Central Ohio Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and the Columbus Firefighters Foundation proudly presents the 33rd Annual Burn Center Golf Outing on September 26, 2022. The charity golf event takes place annually at the end of September, which coincides with celebrating and honoring the 100th Anniversary of Fire Prevention Week. This year’s event will be enhanced through the participation of current OSU student-athletes who have been generously provided to support the event by Cohesion Foundation and their purpose-driven NIL initiatives.
Since 1998, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and its members have generously contributed to the Burn Centers. These funds have allowed The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital Burn Units to continue to be actively involved in providing education on burn prevention and fire safety both to the community and students on campus, as well as helping patients obtain special items or assistance.
Participating in the event on behalf of “Team Cohesion” will be OSU Women’s Golf Team members, Lauren Peter and Faith Choi, who are proud to attend the event to support the cause and raise awareness for the Burn Centers. Golfers will enjoy a great day of golf at the beautiful Medallion Golf Club in Westerville, Ohio.
Funds raised from the event are allocated to enhance education and prevention programs, as well as patient care.
